- Saturday, May 6th from 8 am to 11 am there will be a neighborhood cleanup for residents of Ward 8. This will take place at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church, located at 701 S. Eola road. No electronics, no paint cans; the list of acceptable items can be seen on the flier. For more information contact the Alderman’s Office for the City of Aurora at (630) 256-3020.
- Free financial coaching as a public service is available from the City of Aurora’s Financial Empowerment Center and the Neighbor Project. Help is available in over 150 languages and our counselors are standing by to help you. Visit their office Mondays thru Fridays from 9 am to 5 pm at 712 South River Street or call (630) 256-4552 and schedule your appointment today!
- Monday, April 24th Good Morning Aurora will host our next monthly discussion with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. The topic will be child exploitation and we will learn about what Kane County State’s Attorney Jamie Mosser has done to combat this scourge. The KCSAO has a Child Exploitation Unit that has been doing fantastic work to protect our community and those most vulnerable. This discussion will be live on our Facebook page from 6 to 7 pm.
