Today on the show I have a follow up episode from season one with my good friend Karis Harlon. After a conscious conception of her baby Wren - Karis went on to have a wild pregnancy and freebirth. Expecting her second birth to be a much faster birth than her first - Karis was left surprised when it wasn’t. We talk in detail about the emergence of Wren’s head; which took a while and also how Wren took a little while to take her first breathe. Karis mentions how she knew this was a possibility and was calm and centered in this process; helping her baby come earth side gently and in her own time. We also discuss how different the process may have been if she was in hospital or even if she had a midwife present at home.
