In this episode, I talk with a great friend and mentor, Jeremiah Villarreal. Coach V is the head boys soccer coach at West Mesquite High School in Mesquite, TX. He is a follower of Christ, husband, father, and coach. He grew up in mesquite and is a cancer survivor. He has been blessed enough to have players with heart and passion play for me. In the four years, Coach V has led the Wranglers, they have earned two bi-district championships and two district championships. Last year’s season was cut short due to Covid-19. Coach V has also been awarded the District 13-5A coach of the year twice and TASCO Region 2 coach of the year as well. The West Mesquite Boys varsity soccer team finished the 2020-2021 season 11-10-3 overall, 9-4-1 in District, and earned their 4th consecutive playoff appearance.
