He helped to launch Freedom Summer helping Mississippians to register to vote. He was a part of the Freedom Rides to bring about travel for black folks on integrated basis. He was the founder of C.O.R.E. He was jailed and came within and inch of his life by white folks because he wanted all of our cousins t live decent lives. You don't know him?
