The Bible says, "Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe. The nobleman saith unto him, Sir, come down ere my child die. Jesus saith unto him, Go thy way; thy son liveth. And the man believed the word that Jesus had spoken unto him, and he went his way." John 4:48-50 KJV.
This study further breaks down our understanding of the place of faith in being able to receive what God has in mind for us. It is vital we possess the revelation of Christ because, the revelation of Christ is the balance of the theoretical and practical aspects of the Christian faith.
God needs our commitment because the more we are committed to God, the more we understand the operation of the faith from God. Every word Jesus Christ spoke while He walked the Earth was Himself being released. This teaching made comparison between two kinds of faith - Absolute and Point-of-Contact faith.
One of the dangers of Point-of-Contact faith is that the contacts always end up as idols used to mediate between God and them. Whereas, Absolute Faith only requires the Word of God, not a sign.
