John the Baptist also came to Earth to do the errand given to him by God the Father. He knew he was on a journey here on Earth and this influenced his way of living and lifestyle.
Though similar to Samson (Judges 13: 4-5) by prophesy and as a Nazarene, John the Baptist live/lead his life differently. Because he was filled with the Holy Spirit from the womb, John the Baptist was empowered to choose the way of life of living in the wilderness, wearing animal skin, eating locusts, and wild honey (Matthew 3:1&4; Mark 1: 4&6).
The New Creation is admonished from the scriptures to redeem the time (Ephesians 5:16) thus, we must give our lives and all to redeem the times because what matters most is that every believer in Christ "dies empty" reconciling men to Christ.
