From the truth we have received thus far, we understand that we no longer need to pray to God asking Him to fulfill His promises to us. Praying in this light is praying in ignorance which is unproductive, this will make the saint frustrated and believe that God does not answer prayers when in actual fact the problem is from his/her prayer, not God.
In Christ, we never have to pray for the blessing of Abraham because Christ has made it available for us, and the blessing is in every believer.
