- And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.
Power is what distinguishes man from other creatures and it is man's advantage over them. The Hebrew word for living thing ×™chay' places emphasis on other creatures. This buttresses the truth that God gave man dominion over other living creatures that walk the face of the earth not on fellow man. Thus the male is not to dominate the female as God never blessed man for this.
Sin which attracted the purnishmemnt God to Eve gave rise to man dominating man, this is predominant in gender discrimination i.e. male dominating female. But from the beginning it was not so.
