The term prosperity is a household name in the church of Jesus and is understood by a lot of Christians to be wealth and financial surplus. Although this understanding is not incorrect, it is incomplete.
The purpose of this study is to redefine this popular subject which has not been well understood by many in the church of Jesus, thus giving the right understanding and helping the church live the life of God.
Through this study series, we will examine the subject of Prosperity from the New Testament. In doing this we will critically analyze the popular prosperity Scripture in the New Testament, the Book of 3 John. The Bible says,
Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.
3John 1:2.
The above-mentioned verse was an introduction to the letter of John the Beloved written to Gaius.
This teaching episode borders on the following questions;
•Is God interested in the way His children live their lives daily?
•What kind of life does God want the saint to live daily?
•Does God have a plan for my life?
•Does God have a life He has planned for me to live?
You will discover that prosperity is not possessions rather it is our heart and life position before God. Hence, so long as a believer obeys and serves God he will live in prosperity. PROSPERITY is the life of obeying and serving God daily.
