BIBLE STUDY| MIRACLES OF JESUS SERIES.|THE THIRD MIRACLE OF JESUS pt.9 | THE BACKGROUND OF THE POOL OF BETHESDA| CHIMDI OHAHUNA.
The third miracle done by Jesus as recorded by the gospel of John is the healing of the man who was sick for 38 years at the pool of Bethesda. This was recorded in the Book of John 5:1-9. The location of the miracle was - a pool by the sheep market, in the Hebrew tongue known as Bethesda. Bethesda had five porches at Jerusalem.
There is no careless or reckless information in the Bible, every information is vital and purposeful. Hence, we will begin this study by examining the following locations identified in the third miracle of Jesus, namely;
1. The pool of Bethesda
2. The sheep market
3. Five porches at the pool
Previously, we understood that this miracle of Jesus at the pool of Bethesda also teaches us that when we are face to face with the mercy of God, Actions replace Thoughts of Self-pity (mental strongholds expressed in words). When you are face to face with the mercy of God, He (the mercy of God) IS THE MAN WE ALWAYS NEEDED TO HELP US, as a result, excuses are useless to Christ.
