The story of Abraham is replete among saints. Abraham is referred to in Scripture as the father of faith.
He received the sign of circumcision, a seal or confirmation of the righteousness which he had by faith while [he was still] uncircumcised—this was so that he would be the [spiritual] father of all who believe without being circumcised—so that righteousness would be credited to them, and [that he would be] the [spiritual] father of those circumcised who are not only circumcised, but who also walk in the steps of the faith of our father Abraham which he had before he was circumcised.
Romans 4:11-12 AMP
Believers in Christ all claim the blessings of Abraham. The song "Abraham's blessings are mine" is known by both toddlers and the aged and it will definitely be in vogue till the time ends.
That the blessing of Abraham might come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith.
Galatians 3:14
We love the faith of Abraham and desire his blessing so we confess, profess, and act on the word of God, this is the right thing to do and it will continue to produce results.
In a bid to act in faith, we most times focus solely on the result and ignore the process, this in the end denies us from getting the manifestation of God's promises (results). This is why we need patience.
For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.
Hebrews 10:36
Many times we are quick to quote faith is "NOW" (Hebrews 11:1), so everything I desire from God must happen now. The truth is that Faith is actually NOW, but it is now in the realm of the Spirit. This makes us understand that the answer to our prayers is immediate in the realms of the Spirit. This is why we must believe that we have received our request when we pray.
Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1
Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.
Mark 11:24
If we must act in faith, we must understand what Abraham understood which made him the father of faith.
Abraham understood how to operate with Hebrews 10:36 before operating with Hebrews 11:1 in the physical realm.
Abraham is the father of faith because He was patient with God.
Beloved, allow patience to have her perfect work in you!
Jesus is Lord.
