The wife has a key role in the family.
The submission of the wife to her husband is ONLY to the extent to which she is to the LORD. A husband who desires to have his wife submit to him in a godly way must create, enable & promote the relationship of his wife with the LORD. Thus, the need for every individual in the home to be daily filled with the Holy Spirit.
God's plan, purpose, & character for the family is that the wife put her husband first in everything as the Church puts Christ first. And, the husband is the savior of his wife (family) as Christ to the Church.
