Bible Reading: Philippians 3:1 -10
We live in a generation where people no longer want to be rebuked; not from the altar, teachers, or parents unfortunately Christians are not left out in this practice.
As believers, we are happy that Christ has won us but, we don't want to win Christ. We don't want to be dedicated in any way. Some believers make these excuses for not winning Christ.
"I don't want to do too much".
"I don't know why they call me names like fanatic".
These are some reasons why we are having more religious folks in Church than we are having saints in Church. Because we are not ready to lose anything for Christ. We are not ready to count everything as dung for Christ. We are not ready to win Christ. We want to just be comfortable with Christ winning us but we don't want to win Christ. The grace message is a revelation of how Christ won us. But the grace message is to encourage us to win Christ. This is Paul speaking here in this Bible text. He is the one who preached grace to us. If all we do is, take one part of Paul's teaching and reject another part then there is something wrong somewhere. We must create this balance that is needed. We must walk the way that God wants us to walk. We must come to a point of dedication, a place where we are ready to count everything as what? Loss. And count everything as dung. Why? Because we want to Win Christ.
This teaching avails the believer the knowledge and understanding of us Winning Christ. Listen now.
