Bible Reading: Psalms 124; 28:7.
One word that describes a Shield is scale, a covering of protection. Yahweh is our exoskeleton, our protection on the outside having the same effect inside of us. The LORD is our scaly covering, a double surround mechanism that is all around us. When the LORD covers you, He leaves no room for vulnerability.
Trials and tribulations are baits the devil uses and capitalizes on to bring a believer out of his surrounding scale in order to attack the believer. Every believer must know that what is outside is immediate destruction laced with temporary pleasure; what is within is temporary pain with eternal glory.
