While Israel was in Egypt they multiplied and prospered because God was with them. However, after Joseph's death they became slaves to the Egyptians. God delivered them from Egyptian bondage, gave them houses, vineyards and good things but they soon forgot the true and living God. They worshipped idols and sacrificed their children in the fire. Forgetting that God is the source of our blessings is a dangerous attitude. God took us out of sin and He gives us the strength we need daily. Let us not forget that He is the source of supply. This is the key to living victoriously on the abundance He bestows upon us.
