- Leviticus As Lived-Experience Of Moses & Israel.
2. LEVITICUS & DISCIPLESHIP:
a. Discipleship & Sitting = Leviticus
- Israel Sits At Mt. Sinai For One Year, (Num. 1:1).
- Key: Disciples Are Learners.
- Key: Discipleship Takes Time To Learn Disciplines.
- Key: Discipleship Takes Time To Be Disciplined By The Disciplines.
- Goal: Discipleship Ensures Commonality.
b. Discipleship & Marching = Numbers
- Marching Requires Discipline, Unity & Maturity.
3. LEVITICUS & DUTY:
a. Hebrew: Wayyiqra = And He Called, (1:1)
- Israel Is A Called Nation & God Expects Them To Live As Such.
- Leviticus Outlines YHWH’s Expectation Of The Called.
b. Greek: Leuitikon = Pertaining To The Levites
- Much Of Leviticus Is Administered By The Levitical Priests.
- The Levitical Priests Teach The Called About God.
- The Levitical Priests Serve The Called On God’s Behalf.
- The Levitical Priests Represent The Called Before God.
4. LEVITICUS & DEDICATION:
- The Theme Of Leviticus = Holiness/Sanctification.
- YHWH Reveals His Holiness To Israel = Qadosh, (Lev. 11:45).
- Holy Means That God Is Other Worldly.
- Holy Means That God Is Separate From Evil.
- Holy Means That God Is Pure.
- YHWH Expects Israel To Be As Holy As He, (Lev.19:2).
- Holiness Is Separation From All That Is Evil.
- Holiness Is Dedication To All That Is Godly.
