ACT 2:41-47; 4:32-35
Objective: To Transition People From Death–Destruction-Darkness To Life–Destiny-Light, Thru Relationship With Jesus Christ & Active Engagement In His Kingdom, (Col. 1:12-13).
Step One = Culture, Culture, Culture:
Key: Culture Is Everything & Culture Consumes Everything!
Issue: How Do We Develop & Sustain A God-Pleasing Culture?
Culture Development:
Fact: Wherever people gather in a sustained way, culture will be developed. Here are some of the ways.
a. Biblical Adherence:
Using Scripture as The Foundation for Building Culture, (Ps. 128:1].
Sustained Teaching, Embracing, And Practicing of Scripture, (Gal. 5:22-24).
Most Do Not Do This, Leading to A Hybrid Culture Being Formed.
If They Did the Church Would Be the Joy of The Earth, (Ps. 48:2-5). Matt. 5:14
b. Policies & Procedures:
Establishing Policies for Conduct & Function, (Hab. 2:2).
In Most Places These Don’t Exist, And Where They Do, Many Are Disinterested, Unknowledgeable of Them, Or Fail to Comply with Them.
If We Did, The Church Would Be an Ordered Environment, (1 Cor. 14:40).
c. Traditions:
Traditions Are Deeply Held Beliefs, Speech, Practices, And Behaviours.
Traditions Are Enduringly Powerful, (Mark 7:7-9].
Due To Traditions, Ministries Today Are a Mix of Biblical, Cultural, Ethnic, And Carnal Practices, Resulting in Differing Cultures Within the Body, [1 Cor. 1:10].
d. Prayerful Conclusion – Our Rhema Culture Is a Seamless Blend of Scripture & Policies, Ensuring the Promise Of Divine Pleasure, [Prov. 16:7], Assuring Vision Fulfillment [Hab. 2:3], And Ultimate Arrival At Destiny For All, [Josh. 21:45].
