It’s been one year since we salvaged all that we could from our storm-damaged home, caused by Hurricane Ida, and moved out of our hometown. We felt defeated, so unsure of the what the next step would be for our family.
We soon made due with our circumstances, brushed ourselves off, and slowly started to rebuild and replace what we’ve lost. Material possessions can always be replaced, and no matter where we are, together, is home.
