In July, A&W Restaurants announced that it had it had seen same store sales increase an average of 12%, making it the third straight month of double-digit year-over-year growth. As A&W's Director of Digital, Liz Bazner tells Brand Insider this week, a lot of that growth took place when A&W's media spend went dark. There may be ominous signs here of how brand reevaluate the value of traditional media in the next normal.
