Samantha Elsden started working with community groups when she was a young girl in her local show. She moved to Emerald 17 years ago where she continues to work in community organisations, both in a voluntary capacity and senior positions. She works to organise and facilitate community events and opportunities within the Emerald Show Society & Outback Exploratorium. Sam believes that community involvement is one of the most important factors of living in rural communities. This podcast forms part of the Community Driven Podcast Series, a series designed to highlight the leaders, mentors and quiet achievers within our community. The series is funded by the Foundation for Rural & Regional Renewal: Strengthening Rural Communities Program.
