Patricia Mitchell is the Executive Vice President of Industrial Bank, the largest and oldest African American-owned bank in the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area, and the fourth largest in the Country, according to the most recent publication of Black Enterprise Magazine. In 1934, Jesse H. Mitchell, Patricia’s grandfather, founded the Industrial Bank of Washington. He served as the Bank’s president until his death in 1955. Since that time, her father and brother have assumed leadership of the Bank.
Industrial Bank is headquartered in Washington, D.C. on Georgia Avenue, considered by many to be the heart of the African American community in the District of Columbia. The Bank has five branch offices in Washington, D.C. and two branch offices in Maryland and has recently acquired an African American bank in Newark, N.J., adding an additional three branches in Newark and Harlem.
As Executive Vice President of the Bank, Patricia is currently the Acting Chief Lending Officer (CLO) and responsible for Community Development Financial Institution Fund (CDFI) programs. She has assisted with preparation of three grant applications to the CDFI Fund Bank Enterprise Award programs of which the Bank has been awarded the maximum grant amount of all three applications. In her role as the Acting CLO, she is responsible for the entire commercial loan portfolio that includes commercial loan officers and portfolio managers. Those responsibilities include managing the risk of the loan portfolio while increasing loan volume.
Angela Floyd is an award-winning speaker, and coach dedicated to raising awareness of financial and tax implications and its impact on our lives. She is recognized to have a strong understanding of positioning clients and businesses in a position to gain financial tax freedom through planning and understanding of the bigger picture. As seen in speaking engagements, Angela educates and empowers her clients to live a better life with income tax planning.
She is a partner of the prestigious income tax & accounting firm, Intelligent Tax Solutions with 2 locations at the National Harbor and Forestville, MD. She is a contributing author for several magazines, newsletters and sits on the board of several for-profit & nonprofits fostering invaluable connections which is moving clients closer to being income tax and debt-free. Angela holds various master, undergraduate (BS), and master certifications (MSA) from North Carolina Central University, George Washington University, and Central Michigan University in Public Administration Management, Financial & Tax Management, and Program Management. She is also an IRS registered tax professional, certified acceptance agent expert, and certified project management professional (PMP).
She strongly believes that education is the key to financial freedom. Her passion for sharing knowledge about the principles of tax management is delivered in an articulate way that is both engaging and inspiring to take the first steps toward financial freedom.
She is a wife and mother who speaks from a personal experience of overcoming obstacles, reaching her goals, and walking in her purpose. Her mission is to change generations by breaking the fear of the IRS with tax planning and educating clients.
