WE ARE BACK...with another episode of thirtyish: a podcast for adults figuring their ish out. Thank you for all your continued support!!! I wanted to do one more episode of the When You Bet On Yourself series, because Black women are showing their asses off!!!!!! With Tyra Laster, of Silk & Root in my last episode getting my edges together to Vice President-elect Kamala Harris making history and letting Pence know "I'M TALKING" ...I felt it necessary to stay with the same tone and highlight yet another Black woman doing her thang.

Netta Dobbins (@nettadobbins), is an entrepreneur who built her company Mimconnect (mimconnect) from a GroupMe to a business that's clocking in six figures.  She is multifaceted and is dropping gems on this episode to help you navigate your space as a minority in a room where you are one of many, how to level up when your business has started to get some traction, what to look for when you are building a team to help execute your vision, setting a price for your service and business without flinching, what an average day looks like when you work for yourself, her self-care routine, the power of networking and some advice to help you BET ON YOURSELF AND WIN.

With the motto of this series being "Lifting as we Climb" I asked Netta to S/O other black owned businesses/content creators doing their thing and here is her list: @thelenahambrick a digital creator/influencer of beauty, home and mommyhood, @brightventures a coaching, consulting and community for startups ensuring that their leadership is WHOLE (holistic) and @tequilaawhitepr of the Tequilla White Public Relations Agency.

I had a blast talking to my old roomie and I hope she shed some light for those looking to take a chance and those who are already building in their business. Next week we will be back with our regular schedule program as I take my podcast to Playa Del Carmen and I talk to my homegirl, Tannis Isaacs as she walks out of her 30s in the big 4-0 and some bomb ass girl talk from the squad.
