Saluting Sergeant Jim Niederer... a War Hero with Six Bronze Stars and One Bronze arrowhead! His life changed on July 28, 1942, when He enlisted in the Army in Waco, Texas and was sent to Camp Walters in Wichita Falls, Texas. He was supplied a basic training uniform and Springfield 03 rifle. He learned that "shock" could be a deadly possibility. Sergeant Niederer made several invasions as well as took Dachau (German Concentration Camp) that still haunts and lingers in his mind. The things he has seen over the past century are amazing! It is a true blessing and honor to interview him for Veterans Day Week and for him to share his life stories with Gums & Gossip Podcast!
