Description

In Matthew 16:18, Jesus says:

“And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.”

Most people think of the church as a building, a place where people go to worship.  The church Jesus spoke of is the body of
believers.  Christ is the head, and the members of the church are like the arms and legs of the body who do the work of Christ.  So, the church is the global collection of all those who are saved in Christ.  The institutional church, however, is an organized
fellowship also known as a congregation.
Churches can meet in large buildings, online, or in living rooms.  We do not have to go to church to be saved in Christ.  However, church members support one another in their struggles.  They nurture one another and mature in their faith together as a church family.

 Heavenly
Father.  I pray in the almighty name of
our Lord and Savior that you bless your church family globally.  We worship you and glorify you in the name of
Christ Jesus.  Amen.
