So what does this mean? Why are we only as good as our worst habits? “Chains of habit are too light to be felt until they are too heavy to be broken.” Warren Buffet. Many people like to say concentrate on your strengths. But if a chain is only as strong as its weakest link “playing to our strength” will not move the needle in a positive or big way. It will not help you to feel like you are moving forward. The key to reaching your potential is to work smarter not harder. I was talking to a friend the other day about losing weight. He was saying how he has been working out doors a lot and not eating during the day, but still not losing weight. How many times have you felt like you're doing almost all the right things and yet not getting the results. So this is because we focus on the positive things we do, maybe those are even 70% of the time. But that other 30% is the problem. With that 30% if you're eating donuts and other high sugar, high calorie, low nutrition food, you will not lose weight.

Strengthening our weakest areas will give us the most bang for our buck. It is a powerful way to begin reaching our greatest potential. When we let go of the things that are holding us back will quickly propel us forward.
