In the next episode of AWA Road to Tokyo, we hear from Joe Delagrave! He played football at Winona State University and suffered a spinal cord injury during a boating incident during his college years. Joe is the only athlete to ever earn the USQRA Athlete of the Year Award twice. He has served as co-captain of the USA Wheelchair Rugby Team for 7 years. He most notably has been a part of 3 World Championship teams (2010 gold, 2014 bronze, and 2018 bronze), and won Bronze at the 2012 London Paralympics. After being an alternate in 2016 for the Rio Paralympics, Joe is motivated to reach the goal of making it to Tokyo 2020 and winning Gold.
