Our society glamorizes addictions. If we want to reach our potential with God, we must overcome those addictions in our lives. Peter reminds us in his first letter, "Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy, the devil, prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith. (5:8-9)"
