Saskia Van Uffelen has been working in the information and communication technology (ICT) sector for more than 25 years. She has held national and international marketing and sales roles with market leaders such as Xerox, Compaq, HP and Arinso-Northgate and the position of CEO Belgium and Luxembourg for Bull Ericsson.
Since 2012, the Federal Ministry of Economic Affairs has appointed Saskia Van Uffelen as "Digital Champion" for Belgium. There she represents our country before the European institutions in the context of the digital agenda.
If you want to make yourself and your business future-proof, we need to:
*be a digital champion
*think outside the box
*think inclusion
*work with "competitors"
*realize that our "competitors" won't come from within the sector
*be resilient and resourceful
*participate in a hackathon
*learn the basics of AI
*ask advice from everyone, certainly the youngsters
*keep on learning, keep on growing
*stop complaining and respond fast
*have courage and dare to take risks....
