Mi gente, so much has happened this week that I can't wait to share with all of you! Would you believe me if I told you my academic role model @academicmami shouted me out on Instagram as an inspiring page for First Gen Latinx students in Higher Education! I have not been able to stop thinking about that, because Mari (@academicmami) paved the way for so many Latinxs by getting her PhD as a mom, wife, First Gen, and content creator. Furthermore, I want to have a heart to heart with you mi gente in regards to taking a gap year (gap months) before starting grad school.
