Description

A majority of us listening can associate greatly with this statement from either our parents, grandparents, or someone of influence in our life. “Show me your five closest friends and I'll tell you who you are”.

It is important that we make a conscious decision in choosing our friends carefully. Taking the due diligence approach in selecting your friends can alleviate the additional troubles in having someone who will bring you down.

Booker T. Washington once said:

“Associate yourself with people of good quality, for it is better to be alone than in bad company.”  Booker T. Washington

Wise friends will find opportunities to build you up positively, they’ll also look for ways to help, and actively offer sound words of wisdom. Obviously we have to stay alert to the symptoms to know when our friendship with another person is leading us away from our vision or God’s plans for your life.

Proverbs 13:20 and Proverbs 12:26 our power words for today's episode.  It gives us practical but simplistic precautionary guidelines in selecting your mature circle of friends.

Proverbs 13:20 Walk with the wise and become wise, for a companion of fools suffers harm.

Proverbs 12:26
The righteous choose their friends carefully, but the way of the wicked leads them astray.

We’re on a marathon and not a sprint in remodeling the way we think. And each new level of growth will demand attention to your core values through sound fundamental strictness in adjusting and changing the course of direction if a derailment occurs on our journey. Because we’re deliberately including God in our decision making. He also aids by removing bad influences from our life and substitutes them with godly friends. His pearls of wisdom also enable us to see traits or morals that are not in alignment with our values.

YOU'RE A MIRACLE! LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE.
