Pain is one of the universal things we individuals will ever experience. Furthermore, we can all relate to finding the strength deep within to overcome and endure pain. Moreover, it does not discriminate based on either our financial status or social status, and it cannot be outrun or even escape its existence because it is a permanent part of our life.
In Psalm 139:16-18, the author David gives a small outline of how precious we are to God, that God already ordained our days and destiny. Also, revealing a sneak peek of how vast God's loving thoughts towards us are uncountable similar to the grain of sand on the seashore.
Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.
How precious to me are your thoughts,[a] God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand when I awake, I am still with you.
We hope that this small insert from David's letter encourages and reveals God's immense care for His entire creation, especially for each of us individually. He still cares for us during these times of pain, uncertainty, and possible fear. He has a plan to redeem, re-energize, and reconcile us from any unwanted thoughts about ourselves. Furthermore, He will not forsake us even when we will depend on others or things instead of His supernatural power and wisdom in the presence of struggles. He is still waiting with outstretched arms to welcome us home.
