Born and raised near Glasgow, Scotland, our guest today played rugby throughout his childhood and that has got him into weightlifting and strength and conditioning. Colin's career has always been in the business development space after having graduated from University. Our conversation took place purely because of his involvement with fitness. That all dates back in 2017 when Colin really started to take his personal brand seriously documenting his fitness journey on Instagram.
We discuss how Colin used fitness to improve all arread of his life and why he considers that if you can’t govern your own body and responsibilities, you can’t govern other people either.
We dive into an interesting subject about how a lot of people achieve massive success in their careers at the expense of their health.. and why this is not the path you should strive towards.
Colin shares a story dating from 2019 when he was made redundant after 8 weeks of only just joining a new company …it was very tough at the time, but Colin managed to keep his sanity and action forward. By doing so he got an introduction to the world’s biggest insurance broker at their office in Glasgow.
Colin shares what his biggest goals are for the future, but he also shares why he’s more process-driven than outcome-driven which he found very insightful. On top of this all, we also talk about his experiences with alcohol and why and how he decided to go sober in 2019.
