Too many people rush to get to their destination.
They don’t stop and enjoy the process.
I like tracking calories.
I like weighing my food.
I like knowing what I’m putting into my body.
I like trying to fit things into my macros while still hitting my micros.
I like solving puzzles.
To me, tracking nutrition is like solving a puzzle.
I like preparing meals that help me hit my targets.
I like learning about different recipes and cooking techniques.
I like learning about different exercises and how they target different muscle groups.
I like learning about mobility and how to fix issues with posture.
I enjoy these things, and I am grateful that I took the time to learn these things, because they make my life better.
They help me improve my health and longevity.
They help give me a hobby and something I am passionate about.
Most importantly, they help me help others.
When I have a new client, I take it on as an opportunity to teach them why we are doing what we are doing.
I try to help them understand that it’s okay to mess up.
It’s okay to not be perfect.
It’s okay to hold ourselves accountable.
It’s okay to show ourselves tough love.
It’s okay to eat out with the fam on Mother’s Day.
It’s a beautiful process when you see it click for someone.
They start to enjoy the process.
They start to realize there is no deadline, they can take their time and take the scenic route.
