Welcome to this new episode of More ThanMedical Students!

Today I am excited to be joined by Dr Muntaha Naeem who is joining us to discuss his unique experience as Student Union President at Medical School. Muntaha recently completed his Medical Degree at Imperial College in London and he has undeniably had a big impact on his University as he served as Student Union President and other notable leadership roles, representing students and carrying forwards numerous projects and improvements.

We discuss Muntaha’s journey through different leadership and representation positions during medical school, from year 1 academic rep to the highest role of them all- Student Union President. Muntaha also shares his experience of student societies and the opportunities these can bring in terms of teamwork and leadership (but also great fun!) for all medical students as well as tips for any students interested in leadership positions.

What is the role of Union president? What were the highs and low of the role as Muntaha led the university duringone of the University toughest times- the covid19 pandemic? Go listen to the episode now and find out more!
