Description

Is it possible to be in the military and a Med Student? Yes it is! And today’s guest Rachel who has just graduated as a Doctor and Air Force officer is here to share everything about her journey with us!

Welcome to this new episode of More Than Medical Students!
If you don’t know us we’re the podcast who is here to celebrate all medical
students and their projects in and out
of medical school as well as tips to inspire you and allow you to make the
most of your journey in Med School. I’m your host, Dr Marianne, a resident doctor in the UK.

Today I am delighted to be joined by Rachel, who is a newly qualified Doctor who has an incredible journey at Med School because she also completed her training to become and Air Force officer along side Med School.

I am very excited to have Rachel on the show this week
talking about her experience- we discuss her experience of Air Force ROTC during pre-med, HPSP training during med school, the application process to military residency
and much more. Thanks Rachel for exploring all these topics, I learnt a lot today and it’s so interesting to hear about this unique pathway in medicine!

Keep an eye out for next week’s episode where Rachel will
discuss her experience of finding balance at Med School. Another episode that’s not to be missed!
