Welcome to a new episode of more than medical students! In today’s episode we are delighted to be joined by Dr Parmis, an F1 doctor who graduated from Bart’s and the London with and MBBS and an intercalated MSc in medical anthropology. Parmis is also the co-founder of two great projects which she founded during her time at medical school: first gen doctors @first.gen.doctors a community who supports first generation medics and the empowerment project @the.empwrmnt.project which works towards inclusivity in medicine.
In this episode we explore how Parmis went on to found not one but two organisations during her time as a medical student- which is so exciting and an amazing achievement! Parmis has always found widening participation and inclusivity very important and this is reflective in both her organisations. We also chat about Parmi's experience intercalating in medical anthropology andtips for anyone wishing to pursue an intercalated Masters.
Stay tuned as Parmis shares her tips on getting involved in projects and leadership as well as grabbing opportunities as a medical student! Definitely an episode not to be missed!
