If you like to read you might be interested to know that a new biography of President Harry Truman was just published. Truman is inspiring for a lot of reasons but the main one for me is this. Despite being constantly dismissed, he kept reporting for service. Scorned as a failed haberdasher, insignificant senator, and country bumpkin who owed his career to a corrupt political machine, Truman kept showing up to offer what he could, and shaped history in the process. The passage that we're studying this Sunday morning, II Timothy 2:14-19, brought my favorite president to mind. You'll see why if you join us at 10:00 AM for Week 3 of "Strange Grace (A Lenten Series from II Timothy 2)." It's going to be a special morning and we hope you can attend in-person. Do you know that your presence alone will be an emotional "brownie Sundae" for your fellow Hillsiders? if you're travelling or sniffly or otherwise indisposed, we'll be delighted to have you join in on the livestream. Thankful for you, and thankful for how God is on the move at Hillside!
Come worship with Hillside Covenant Church as Dan Seitz teaches from II Timothy 2:9-14.
