The miracles of Jesus are meant to be witnessed to His identity as the Son of God and to point to the truthfulness of His teaching.
But in the miracle we will study tomorrow, the man who is shown mercy by Jesus will turn Jesus over to the Jews! He won’t worship Jesus, or thank Jesus, or follow Jesus as a result.
And, in the end, this miracle will lead the Jews to begin plotting Jesus’ murder.
