Welcome to Season 2, Episode 17 of the 6, 8 or 10 Podcast. Our guest this week is Newcastle United (Lead Phase Coach 13s & 14s) & England Women's U16 Coach, Natalie Henderson.
Natalie is driven by her obsession of football, her words not mine. Although I would struggle to disagree after speaking with her.
Her smile is infectious as it constantly beams across her face when talking about this beautiful game.
With determination, character & a real willingness to learn and better herself she takes us through her journey from a childhood in the streets playing with the boys, to University where she suffered a serious injury, to the setbacks that come with injury & how a full time role within the community department at Newcastle laid down the foundations for a full time role pithing the academy. We also speak about her role with the England U16 Women's squad as an assistant coach and what she takes away from being in that environment.
As I mentioned earlier she has a real thirst for knowledge & improving herself and people around her.
I could have spoken to her all her all day - that's nothing new with me though.
