The Spirituality of the Lutheran Church is centered on the Word and the Sacraments (baptism, the Lord’s Supper, Confession Absolution). This is where God has placed his saving promises, and nowhere else. To participate in these things is to participate in Christ. To exclude yourself from these things is to exclude yourself from Christ. Refusing to dedicate yourself to the God-given rhythm of grace found in the Word and Sacraments will result in removal from membership at Holy Cross. Indeed, it may result in being condemned.
