The official interpretation of the Bible that we use is set forth in the Book of Concord (http://www.bookofconcord.org/)which is a collection of writings by Martin Luther and friends presented by the Lutheran Reformers in 1580. Your pastors have vowed to teach and preach based on this interpretation of the Bible. God doesn’t change, His Word doesn’t change, and therefore our faith doesn’t change. In a world of trends and contradictions, we are able to anchor ourselves in an unchanging confession of faith. This Word is our sure foundation that will last longer than the heavens and the earth.
