Today's guest, Cecil Harris, is more than a sports fan. He is the author of four books: Different Strokes: Serena, Venus, and the Unfinished Black Tennis Revolution; Charging the Net: A History of Blacks in Tennis from Althea Gibson and Arthur Ashe to the Williams Sisters; Call the Yankees My Daddy; and Breaking the Ice: The Black Experience in Professional Hockey. His sports writing has appeared in NY Daily News, NY Times, NBCNews.com, NY Post, Newsday, Raleigh News & Observer, Indianapolis Star, Gannett News Service, Associated Press and Boxscore News. Harris is a summa cum laude graduate from Fordham University.
