Welcome back to the Distinctly Detroit Podcast. On today’s episode we have Obie King Jr.. He is Obie King, the lead singer from Obie King and the Muthafunkas. He began his singing career in 2013, and since then has worked with David Branden and the All Stars, Weebone, and Obie King & The Reinforcements. Obie King has performed in many live venues throughout Detroit and is the 2022 winner of the Detroit Black Music Awards Best Male Vocalist & runner up in the Entertainer of the Year.
