Imagine that God tells you, your family, and your closest friends to journey into the desert. You don’t fully understand it, but you all hear the same word from God. In faith, you venture into the unknown. Before long, you’re dragging your suitcases through soft sand. Your pace slows every few minutes to let the kids catch up. You’re sweating and struggling but pushing through. On day two or three, your water supply runs out. What then? Well, it’s pretty easy to assume your reaction would be something like, ‘God! What’s going on? Why have you led us into this desert, and what are you going to do about all this?’ This is basically where the people of Israel found themselves in Exodus 17:1–7 and Numbers 20:1–13. And, like the people of Israel, when we’re in chaos, anxiety, or pain, we go searching for answers. We look for some sort of storyline to make sense of it all. In those times, knowing and holding onto God’s divine storyline is more important than ever. This message outlines three essential—but seemingly contradictory—truths we need in this season. - - - Find out more about Ramp Church Manchester by visiting https://ramp.church/mcrIf you would like to partner in giving, please visit: https://ramp.church/mcr/giving
