Elizabeth Short, dubbed the Black Dahlia by media was found murdered in Leimert Park in Los Angeles on January 15, 1947. Elizabeth's body was bisected at the waist, was drained of blood, and her face was cut from ear to ear in a "Glasgow Smile". Her murder is one of the most infamous where the killer was never caught.
