Welcome back to another episode of I Feel Fat Today! This week, to start us off host Kelly Taylor dissects an article from The Guardian that details the story of actress Ivy Snitzer. Ivy was the body double for Gwyneth Paltrow in The Farrelly Brothers masterpiece, “Shallow Hal”. Paltrow plays both the gorgeous model-like love interest of one Jack Black & homely sweet good girl weighing close to three hundred pounds who is also the love interest of Jack Black. Ivy Snitzer was cast as the body double for Paltrow when the character is depicted in fat form. As you might imagine, Snitzer was the films breakout star that went on to an illustrious career in Hollywood as a plus size comedic actress… JUST KIDDING! Tune in to see how the attention of the movie impacted Snitzer’s life. Spoiler, she may look different now but seems to be very much her same lovely self.
