Jee is currently in her interdisciplinary PhD at Dalhousie, which has her research focusing on antimicrobial resistance. We discuss the nature of her work, which includes techniques in machine learning applied to bioinformatics to understand the genome of the microbes of concern in microbial resistance to antibiotics. We also talk about some the current struggles grad students face today.
