Welcome back listeners to the longest episode of World Forge yet! It just keeps dragon on am I right? I'm so sorry.
Honestly this episode is a lot of fun, because we're talking about that most hallowed of topics: dragons! Are there enough of them in DnD? Does the game actually live up to the expectation of being 50% dungeon and 50% dragon? How are dragons best utilized in this dang old game? All of these questions and more will be answered this week!
We've also got our dear friend Josh from Arcane Forge back to help us create some dragon characters we feel are truly worthy of inclusion in your adventures. Josh is currently in the middle of a whole month of dragon lore and art over on his youtube channel Arcane Forge, if you're looking for any additional inspiration after this episode you should absolutely go and check him out! He's also available on twitter @arcane_forge!
Besides our own dragon creations, we talk about some really cool dragons that inspire us from all mediums including (surprise) the Tolkien mythos, the works of Miyazaki, and of the game Dragons Conquer America by Burning Games! Dragons Conquer America is an awesome supplement that is just out of a hugely successful kickstarter based around dragons in 1500s Mesoamerica! If you're looking for a totally unique roleplay setting with some incredible art, please go and check them out! They have a free supplement available HERE on drivethruRPG that will give you the rundown of what this setting is all about, with a core rule book available HERE!
