Description

You've heard tales of the great, scaly, fire-breathing beasts of the Eastern plains, though you've never seen them with your own eyes. It's said that the men and women who command them are like the gods reborn, unmatched in size or strength...

How shocking it was to find that they were more like great hulking cows than dragons, and their riders were made of flesh and blood just like you or I...

Hello listeners, and welcome back to another episode of World Forge! We've had an interesting week testing out new ways to connect with our gaming party, and just trying to stay busy and sane in the midst of the lockdown. We hope you all are doing alright, and that our show is providing you with some much needed respite from the seemingly inescapable doom and gloom of the "real world".

This week we're talking about building towns, villages, and communities, and take a swing at building a small ranching community out in the plains. If you're interested in what it's like to partake in dinosaur husbandry, we think we offer some valuable insight this week into what exactly that may be like for your average peasant.

We also wanted to share some resources we've found useful during this time of isolation, we played our first remote DnD game and found both Discord and Roll20 to be awesome ways to stay in touch with your adventuring parties and keep your games going strong. They're easy enough to find on your own, but if you have questions about how to run games using either of these platforms please feel free to reach out to us and we'll gladly lend you any and all insight we can!

We also want to recommend friend of the show Daily Dungeon Delves on twitter who posted a handy guide on how to use both of these resources to run online DnD games. Besides that they post adorable DnD comics that we are just huge fans of.

Further, we really want to thank you all for sticking with us through these troubling times, your support and listenership really means the world to us. It really means the world to us to hear your feedback and see your support on twitter and via email, so please keep it coming it motivates us more than you can ever know!

So if you enjoyed this episode or what to share any feedback with us please consider reaching out to us to do so! We can be found on twitter @worldforgepod, we're also available via email at worldforgepod@gmail.com. We love to hear about all the ways you use and improve upon our ideas, and if you show us something really interesting we may just share it on air! And if you're feeling REALLY generous, please leave us a review on Apple Podcasts, or your podcasting app of choice! Leaving us a review is the best way to support this podcast for FREE, because it helps get our show in front of new listeners!

We also want to thank James Duke for our amazing theme music, he can be found at jamesduke.info!

Thanks again listeners, we'll be back again next week!
