Description

Contentment is a state of happiness and satisfaction. But it is not (and must not be allowed to become) complacency, lethargy, or apathy.

Ambition is a strong desire to do or to achieve something, typically requiring determination and hard work. But unfortunately it can include greed, covetousness, jealousy, and cruelty.

Are these two things naturally contrary to each other.  Are they mutually exclusive?  Can’t we be both content and ambitious?

How do we know when to settle down and accept the station in life at which we find ourselves, and when we should be "restless" and in a mode of exploration and conquest?

What are the tell-tale signs that our contentment is becoming apathy?  And what are the tell-tale signs that our ambition has soured into excess?

Listen as Dave, Patrick (and then Tonya) discuss this life dilemma.
